These mattress overlays are made from 100% pure Organic Cotton Fleece which is similar to sweater fabric. Pure 100% Organic cotton fleece has a natural wax, which makes it water resistant, so they are not totally waterproof, but combined with our Organic Flannel Mattress Protector they will give you maximum protection achievable for a totally organic product, without needing to use a synthetic or plastic protector. With a bound edge, these overlays would also make lovely organic blankets.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FLEECE OVERLAYS:

WASHING: Washing in COLD water is recommended. Maximum temperature for washing organic cotton fleece is 30 C as anything higher than this will wash out the wax more quickly, may degrade the fibres and reduce the lifespan of your product. If soiled, use vinegar in the washing water to remove odours. If very soiled use borax and follow directions on the pack. Do not use commercial softening products as they may affect your health and alter the organic nature of the product.

DRYING: Line dry; avoid strong sunlight which can cause bleaching and deterioration of this quality fabric. DO NOT TUMBLE DRY. Iron on low heat with steam if needed.
